The PTA is looking forward to working with everyone for creative new ways to push ourselves through these challenging times. The PTA is here to help support our school community. No matter where and how the students learn and the teachers teach, your Pleasant Hill PTA is committed to staying mission- driven. That means supporting and giving our community as many positives as we can by trying new things, creatively raising funds, and establishing new ways to connect the community.

The following positions are open for the 2024-2025 school year: 

 

Executive Board - meets once a month

 

President Elect (President for '25-26 school year) - Shadows presidents and fills in when needed, gets ready to fill the president position for next year.

 

VP of Advocacy & Legislation - Review the bylaws and implement the national advocacy and legislative programs and activities. Assist the president.

 

VP of Membership (this position has the option to be shared between co-vp) - Conducts membership drive and promotes the benefits of the PTA. Manages member data and assists the president.

 

VP of Ways & Means (looking for a co-vp) - Raises funds for the PTA and assists the president.

 

Treasurer - Sets a budget and keeps a record of the income and expenses. 

 

Recording Secretary - Records the minutes of the meetings.

 

Corresponding Secretary - Chair of the communications committee.

 

 

 

Committee Chairs- meets at specific times throughout the year

 

Assemblies (looking for co-chair) - Schedules motivational speakers or cultural art performers for the student body.

 

Back to School Picnic (looking for co-chair) - “Welcome back” event for all Pleasant Hill staff and families. Families bring their own picnic. Desserts are provided, as well as entertainment and games - at no cost to attendees.

 

Book Fair (looking for co-chair) - Work with book vendors for a week-long book fair twice a year.  All of the proceeds go directly to the LRC.

 

Care & Concern - Provides help to families in need. May organize meal-trains, clothes drives, or car pooling. Serves as liaison with POC/PATH organization for donations and volunteers.

 

Family STEAM Night (looking for co-chair) - Event designed to showcase the wonders of science, technology, engineering, arts and math through fun, hands-on activities and demonstrations.

 

Reflections - National PTA sponsors this art program which offers students an opportunity to create works of art for fun and recognition. 

 

SPARK Representative - Attends district SPARK (Special Education Parents Accessing Resources and Knowledge) meetings to share information.

 

Spirit Wear - Oversee and plan Spirit Wear sales throughout the school year

 

Staff Appreciation (looking for co-chair) - Help with welcome back lunch in August, teacher appreciation week in May, and year end gifts for staff

 

Talent Show (looking for co-chair) - Variety show spotlights the talents of Pleasant Hill students.

Coordinates all aspects of the show. Offered every other year (odd years).
